Christos Cotsakos Joins the Graziadio Senior Fellows in Entrepreneurship at PepperdineUniversity's Graziadio School of Business and Management Malibu, CA; - Christos Cotsakos, Ph.D., former Chairman and CEO of E*Trade, joined the Graziadio Senior Fellows in Entrepreneurship at Pepperdine University's Graziadio School of Business and Management in December 2010. The Graziadio School of Business and Management, founded in 1969, is one of the nation's largest graduate business schools accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International). The mission of the Graziadio School of Business and Management is to develop values-centered leaders and advance responsible business practice through education that is entrepreneurial in spirit, ethical in focus, and global in orientation. Given Christos Cotsakos' distinguished career and consistent demonstration of entrepreneurial achievement, he is an excellent addition to the Graziadio Senior Fellows in Entrepreneurship at Pepperdine University's Graziadio School of Business and Management.

He has a solid background in leadership and is considered to be one of the visionaries, architects, and entrepreneurs of e-commerce and e-finance. He also pioneered the early stages of development for personalized digital financial media. Christos Cotsakos served as Chairman and CEO as well as President and CEO of E*Trade Group, Inc., where he raised $13 million in private equity to help finance the company's start-up operations and a follow-on $1.5 billion to build out the company's infrastructure. Through his extensive experiences in start-ups, venture capital, Fortune 1000 companies, board memberships and advisory services, Christos Cotsakos has helped companies raise over $4.0 billion in equity and debt financing. He has also provided counsel on globalization, digital media, technology, sales and marketing, financing, transaction processing, e-commerce, corporate governance, and exit strategies at critical junctures in those companies' growth cycles.
