Why talk about fun? • Fun has long been and is today a part of women's movements. • Fun serves multiple functions in the movement: • has the potential to sustain the feelings of belonging and sharing, bringing people together • fun can empower • make the women‘s movements more attractive to new people • fun in the women’s movements has often been turned into a powerful political tool • There is not only much fun in the movement, but also big discussions about it

  10. Why talk about fun? 4) Practices of fun and ideologies behind them are related to certain hierarchies and fragmentations inside the movement 5) It is not much that we actually know about the practices of fun used by different groups of women activists worldwide

Thus, this session aims to explore the diversity of fun practices in the women’s movements and talk about them in a political and meaningful way. • How do we conceptualize the fun we are practicing? • Can fun be a strategy to make women's movements more attractive? • Can fun in its multitude forms and practices facilitate inclusive movements across the regions and generations? • Which practices of fun proved to be the most beneficial for consolidating the power of women's movements?

  12. What is fun for you? What activities do you experience as fun? What is your relationship with fun? What role does it play in your everyday life? How much time do you spend for fun every day, every week?

  13. How was fun used in your political activities? Did fun contribute to reaching your goals and how? Was that fun appealing to diverse groups of women or to one particular group?

  14. How to make fun activities more inclusive? – A question for the last part of the session. Mural question: What is (inclusive) feminist fun?
