  3. Ahora… • What do these sentences mean? • Margarita esunachicainteligente. • Pablo es un estudiantetrabajador. • Copy these sentences on your QPC and identify the following: Subject/verb/aritcle/adjective/noun

  4. Corregir: • Margarita esunachicainteligente. • subject: Margarita • verb: es • article: una • adjective: inteligente • noun: chica

  5. Corregir: • Pablo es un estudiantetrabajador. • subject: Pablo • verb: es • article: un • adjective: trabajador • noun: estudiante

  6. Adjectives AFTER the noun • In English, adjectives usually come before the noun they describe: a smart girl/a hard working student • In Spanish, adjectives usually come AFTER the noun! Unachicainteligente/un estudiantetrabajador

  7. Check it out! • We don’t always have to have a noun/adj combination in a sentence! • Look at what we’ve been practicing: • Margarita esinteligente. • Pablo estrabajador. • BUT if we do add in the noun remember to put the adjective AFTER the noun! • Margarita esunachicainteligente. • Pablo es un estudiantetrabajador.
