  1. Clue 1 Start with the 10 x 10 grid. Start with the T-shape in the top left corner (n=22). Clue 2 Work systematically by moving the T-shape one place at a time to the right. n=23, n=24, n=25 … etc. Clue 3 Look at the difference between the terms. Use the nth term technique to find a formula. Clue 4 By choosing a random position on the grid, check your formula Clue 5 Repeat this process for some of the other grid sizes Clue 6 Look at your formulae. Can you see a link between them and the size of the grid?
