  1. In Woodbury, many older adults and adults who have disabilities are struggling to maintain their independence. Some live in the same neighborhood where they were raised and want to continue living in a place that is familiar. Unfortunately, too many are isolated, separated from their families, or are in need of a caring neighbor. Would You Like To Make A Difference… to older adults and those who have disabilities by: If you are interested in becoming a volunteer committee member please contact Councilman Tim Arone at councilmanarone@yahoo.com or 914-513-7451. The next committee meeting will be held at the Central Valley Library on xx/xx/xxxx @ 7:00 pm. • Providing transportation to and from local medical visits. • Helping with grocery shopping. • Visiting in their home. • Providing clerical assistance. • Chatting on the phone. • Showing you care. This is a program of the Town of Woodbury, supported by: Jewish Family Service of Orange County & Orange County Office for the Aging So often, it is the simple gestures that make a difference. A friendly visit, a ride to the doctor or the grocery store, can help your neighbor feel connected to the community. This assistance also allows individuals to remain in their homes for a very long time.
