  2. How to edit your page! • Start by going to:http://www.homestead.com/ • Sign in: • User ID is: (ask not posted) • Password is: (ask not posted) • Go to “web site manager” • (picture on next slide)

  3. Start here! Edit site.

  4. Choose your page to edit.

  5. Editing Tips! • Please edit only your page. • If you are not sure where your page is…ask! • Update content frequently, keep it fresh and interesting! • Please be careful to protect privacy!

  6. To add text and hyperlinks.

  7. Text • Click on add to page. • Select text” and a new box will appear on your page. • Highlight the text in the box and write what you want. • You can change font, colors, etc! • You can move the text box where you need it.

  8. Hyperlink • You can link to an email address, document or another site! • Highlight the text you want to link. • Look on the right, there is a box that shows you “text settings” • Select link and it will open a new form. • Follow the prompts.

  9. How to I save or publish this information? • Always, always always, click these two things to save your work…..you will lose everything you have done if you don’t do this! • SAVE then Publish, lets say it together….save then Publish!

  10. Getting Fancy! • You can add more! • Pictures, contact us buttons, maps to meeting locations, shapes, files, borders, etc. • Example: I want to add a picture of Minnesota getting the Leadership award…. • Click add picture, it will ask where to get the picture from? My computer, upload, and place it where you want. (Resize if needed.)

  11. How do I change or remove content? • Sign in and open your page. • Highlight the area you want to change or remove. • Either change text or cut the portion . • You may want to move other content around so it looks nice to viewers.(drag and drop) • SAVE AND PUBLISH!

  12. Benefits of the web page! • Great tool for updating members! • Easy to change content! • The State (not chapters) pays for it! • Please use it!!!!
