EU funded Research projects / Innovation Current Research project where UECBV is involved • APTAR: FP7 - Global Solution for slaughterhouses and meat processing plants: treatment of Category 3 animal waste and production of high value product with biopesticides – Last year of the project (until June 2012) • MeatCoat - FP7, for the developing of a new edible coating for meat product and fresh meat, using peptide molecules in order to build shelf assembly hydrocolloids. Starting date: December 2011 – • WASTEred- CIP eco-innovation- aims to promote the use of an ECO-Innovative product in the food industry-slaughterhouses, meat processing plants • miniAD - CIP-Eco innovation, to demonstrate a small scale anaerobic digestion plant at SME meat processing plants UECBV Meat Industry Section – 15.12.2011 - Brussels
