  2. Aim • Increase the number of women and children enrolled in WIC from 1,543 in June to 1,575 by December, 2011 • Baseline data: the average number of women and children enrolled in WIC per month during the months of April through June is 1,512 • Length of project: 6/1/2011 – 12/31/2011

Change (Do) • 2 surveys distributed • Current client satisfaction • Discontinued client satisfaction • Current client survey results indicated that clients were unsatisfied with the draft pick-up process • Implemented an online nutrition education program to eliminate draft pick-up inconveniences • Goals: • Register 50 clients into online program • Obtain 75% compliance rate

  4. Results (Study) • 184 clients registered for program as of 10/18/11 • 16% (30) compliance rate as of 10/18/11, however, certificates do not need to be completed until late Oct. – early Jan. • Changes in WIC draft pick-up rate will be determined at the end of November

  5. Next Steps (Act) • Continue to offer WIC online education • Examine other areas of needed improvement to enhance based from discontinued client survey results • Staff communication with clients • Expand appointment times

  6. Impact • Increased WIC enrollment • Conserved staff time due to less one-on-one education • More satisfied clients
