  2. Three Parts of Insects • There are three main parts of an insect: the head, thorax, and abdomen. • An insect’s head contains the eyes, antennas, and mouth parts.

  3. Sizes of Insects • The biggest insect is the walking stick. • The walking stick is 30 in. long. • The mosquito is 0.1 in. long.

  4. How Insects Are Born • Most insects hatch from eggs. Not many are born alive. • There are two main life cycles of insects egg , larvae , pupa , and adult.

  5. How Ants live • All ants are social. It means that they live together in colonies. • There are more than 10,000 types of insects. • All ants range in size is from 0.08 to 1 inch

  6. Ant ‘s homes • Lots of types of ants live in nest that they make out of different materials, Like wood, leaves, sand, and soil.

  7. Where ants live • All ants are found in almost all of the world. • But they are most common in hot places. • Ants use antennas to communicate.

  8. Different Kinds of Ants • Ants are cool because they make big anthills. • If there weren’t warm places, ants would not be alive.
