  3. These are terraced houses built during the early part of the 20th century. These are very common throughout Britain. They were built to house industrial workers.

  4. These are also terraced houses built during the early part of the 20th century. They were built to house wealthier people. Compare these with the houses in the previous photograph.

  5. This is a pup which has been modernised. Can you see the extension? Compare the ground floor with the rest of the building. Can you see similarities with the previous houses?

  6. This is a large detached house built probably during the 1930's. What materials were used to build this property? Make a list.

  7. There are many buildings around us that were built in the early part of the 20th century. Can you spot these buildings near your area. If so take photographs. Compare these buildings with older Victorian buildings.
