The MLE: Developing true 24 / 7 learning Session objectives To look at 3 ways an MLE can be used to encourage 24 / 7 learning To have an understanding of how to set up 3 ways to encourage 24 / 7 learning on the Fronter MLE system Session outcomes Everyone to have had practice of setting up forums, tests and hand-in folders on the MLE Staff to have actually established activities in their MLE rooms for students to use

  5. To set up a forum, click on the resources link on the left hand side of the room menu and then click the link in the top right hand corner called “forums” Forums

  6. Forums There are 5 different types of forums to select from The opening hours of the forum are fully customisable DON’T FORGET TO CLICK SAVE!

  7. Worth making sure students are aware of any rules around writing in Forums at the start of each one. Avoids any misunderstanding! Forums

  9. To set up a test, click on the resources link on the left hand side of the room menu and then click the link in the top right hand corner called “test” Online tests

  10. Use these tabs to control the parameters of the test Online tests Click here to add questions into your test DON’T FORGET TO CLICK SAVE!

  12. Online hand-in and feedback Give the folder a title The opening hours of the forum are fully customisable DON’T FORGET TO CLICK SAVE!

  13. To leave feedback on a students, click onto the arrow beside the student work. Use this drop down menu and select “Comment” Online hand-in and feedback

  14. You can add a grade to the student work Online hand-in and feedback You can type comments about students work in here DON’T FORGET TO CLICK SAVE!
