  10. BAY Sounds Great! How do I join? Joining BAY is a three quarter process…

Quarter 1 Join the Accounting Association • Plan to attend two more quarters • Pay membership dues ($15/quarter) • Maintain your grades • At least a 3.0 GPA • Take at least one upper division Accounting course • Examples: ACCT-3211, ACCT-3212, ACCT-4220 • Maintain attendance requirements • Don’t forget to sign in!

  12. Quarter 2 Pledge Quarter • Declare option in ACCT, FIN, or CIS • Pay membership dues ($15/quarter) • Attend Pledge Meeting • Verify academic requirements • Pay initiation fees • $75 one-time fee • Attend Initiation Ceremony • Complete Pledge Requirements…

  13. Tutoring Committee hours Promote the chapter Class announcements HS & Comm. Colleges Community service Maintain attendance requirements Attend a Major event - Winter Banquet

Attendance Requirements Attend Events in 3 Categories Professional Events: Seminars, Winter Banquet, office visits, etc. Service Events: Community service & tutoring Chapter Maintenance: Social events, general meetings, & initiation • Outlined on BAY calendar and handbook • Monitor your progress in Blackboard • Don’t forget to sign in!
