How to deal with the Surface Anti-rust of Steel Castings With the rapid development of China's machinery manufacturing and processing industry, especially after China's accession to the WTO, China has become an important base for international mechanical processing. Therefore, it needs high demand for material, functional, corrosion and even decoration of parts in various types of mechanical equipment. The original method of painting castings is unpopular because it will hide the cracks, pores in castings. The following surface treatment will be welcomed. Due to the special nature of the manufacturing process, the surface of castings is easy to rust and hard to dispose with. If let it being, corrosion resistance of the piece is poor and its outline will not be elegant. Thus, many firms propose higher demands for corrosion resistance of casting. Meanwhile according to working conditions of different castings, they also require room temperature blackening, phosphating treatment and other special anti-rust treatment for the castings (cast iron, cast steel)

So the oil must be thoroughly clean and the surface activation must be moderate (let the fresh metal surface exposed without corrosion). For parfect steel casting foundry , it needs pay attention to the following three points: 1 Remove the scale by mechanical means, such as rolling, sandblasting, polishing, grinding and so on. After the method and wash up by water, some castings can be directly blackening or with other anti-corrosion resistance. ② Firstly soaking or clean the castings with clean water. Before the chemical degreasing rust, it needs cleaning the castings(soaking) and

Because there are too many pores in the surface of casting and they are hard to remove with especially after oil contamination. Poor treatment will have a bad impact on the entire anti-rust treatment, far away from intended purpose. The material of these castings includes iron, copper, aluminum and its alloys. There are many ways to degrease, such as chemical degreasing, mechanical degreasing, baking degreasing, ultrasonic degreasing, electrolysis and organic solvent degreasing and so on. Desulfurization activation is generally treated with hydrochloric acid solution or dilute sulfuric acid (15 ~ 20%) treatment medium temperature.
