It also occupies minimal space as the thickness is 120 mm, which means an entire office’s data can be neatly stored in a stack of DVDs and put inside a drawer. With the current technological advances and keeping in mind the ecological factors, it is only reasonable and ethical to use less and less paper. Take a business or an office for example – previously, all the records needed to be maintained manually, documents to be neatly filed in folders for future references and huge amount of paper work to be maintained. If we treat DVDs properly from heat, humidity and other environmental factors and handle them with care, it can last more than 5 decades. Millions of people favor using DVDs, for eg: Netflix uses DVDs to send their shows to their customers. Though digital devices have many advantages, they can also cause tricky situations. It is always advisable to use high quality and trusted brand’s products because the data that is stored can be the most valuable asset of an organization. Loss of data by using cheap or defective product or leakage of confidential data by not securing it, can prove fatal to the organization’s future prospects or even its existence.
