About CMG • Computer Measurement Group (www.CMG.org) : • Not-for-profit worldwide organization of IT Professionals • sharing of information and best practices for performance • evaluation and capacity management of IT systems • Around since 1975 • Well known annual international conference • Papers are mainly from IT practitioners, as opposedto ACM SIGMETRICS which has majority of papers from academia • 25+ Regional groups in US, Canada, UK, European Countries, Australia, Brazil, China

CMG India Mission • To create a platform for Networking of Performance Engineering and Capacity Management (PECM) experts within India • Sharing of experiences that will not violate any company IP • ‘Standardization’ of best practices and tools • Maturity from Performance Testing to Performance Engineering • Maturity from Performance Monitoring to Capacity Management • To create a PECM brand in India with the intent of • Standards • Certification • To set an example for students and IT professionals to adoptPECM as a career path

What CMG India Is Not • CMG India is not a platform for poaching PECM resources • CMG India is not a platform for advertising PECM skills with an intent to switch companies • CMG India is not a repository of PECM names and CVs • CMG India is not an advertising forum for tool and technology sales personnel

Current Plans of CMG India • Regional Half Day Events at no cost • Once a quarter in major cities • PECM experts present past work, work in progress, interesting work published in the public domain • Audience = IT professionals and students • Annual Conference at ‘minimal cost’ • Once a year • Keynote speakers from reputed organizations • Best regional presentations + invited talks from experts • As time progresses, and we have a rich reviewer network wecan have a proper national conference with paper reviews • Web Site with PECM Technical Content • Blogs, technical articles by Technical Experts

  7. CMG India Annual Conference • CMG India 2014: The 1st Annual Conference of CMG India will be in Pune on Dec 12th and 13th.
