Brief Introduction • The ESCI-KSP Website (http://esci-ksp.org) was formally launched since March 2012 under the Energy Smart Communities Initiative (ESCI) launched in 2010 jointly by the United States and Japan within the APEC. • Tool for collecting and sharing best practices for creating energy smart communities. LCMT Smart Transport Smart Buildings Smart Grids Smart Jobs • Partner: • It has collected over 400 cases and 218 publications from 18 APEC economies so far.

  4. Brief Introduction • Organized by 4 Pillars of ESCI. • Included with the cross-cutting examples of LCMT. • New Release of Industry Zonein 2015. Accomplishment • Annual Best Practice Award Program • Held four workshops related to energy smart knowledge sharing associate with EWG Outreach • Winners received awards certificates and trophy by APEC EWG to honor their achievement and they are invited to present their project at the award ceremony associated with the 46th and 50th meeting of APEC EWG • This year the APEC senior officials have helped promoted our joint efforts in advancing ESCI-KSP and the Annual ESCI Best Practice Awards Program in SOM. In addition, SOM3 and FOTC (Friends of the Chair) on Urbanization have generally reviewed the APEC projects related to urbanization, and found out that ESCI-KSP could be incorporated in the roadmap of APEC urbanization development. • Optimize the ESCI-KSP website :Cooperate with UPenn to add Industry Zone to create a place for the smart energy related enterprises.
