  4. Lung’s diseases • Asthma • Chronic bronchitis • Emphysema • Pneumonia • Lung cancer • Pulmonary edema

  5. Bronchitis Symphtoms: • Cough that produces mucus • Frequent respiratory infections • Headaches • Swelling of the ankles,feet and legs • The number of breths per minute-high

  6. ASTHMA Alternative names: • Bronchial asthma • Exercise-induced asthma

  7. What is asthma? Asthma-lung’s disease It is an inflammatory condition of the lungs that makes it dificult to breathe. Asthma is chronic condition. We have a few asthma’s types.

  8. Factors which provoke asthma: • respiratory infections and colds • cigarette smoke • allergens such as pollen,mold,animal dender,dust... • exercise • exposure to cold air or sudden temperature change • stress • some medications

  9. Lung cancer • Bloody sputum • Chest pain • Loss of apetite • Shortness of breath • Weight loss • Facial swelling • Fever • Nail abnormalities • Weakness

  11. EMPHYSEMA What is emphysema? Emphysema is lung disease,too. Emphysema involves damage to the air sacs-alveoli. How? Walls between the alveoli lose their ability to strech and recoil.Because of it alveoli become weakned and break.

  12. What cause emphysema? Cigarette smoking! It is the most common cause of emphysema 80-90% of deathes

  13. Who have this disease? From this disease mainly suffer 45+ persons. IMPORTANT! Emphysema doesn’t devolp suddenly. Years of smoking cause this serious disease

  14. Symptoms You are feeling short of breath during activity or exercise-that may be emphysema. Go to the doctor!

  15. Threatment for emphysema: • Quit smoking • Breathing exercises • Antibiotics • Lung transplatation

  16. Bronchopneumonia Symptoms: • Headache • Fever • Excessive sweating • Cough-usually dry • Sore throat

  17. Types of bronchopneumonia • Aspiration pneumonia-Symptoms: cough-yellow mucus,fever,chest pain,rapid shallow breathing,headache,loss of apetite

  18. How will you know if there is something wrong with your lungs? • Trouble breathing • Shortness of breath • feeling like you are not getting enough air • a decreased ability to exercise • pain or discomfort when breathing • a coughing up blood or mucus
