  1. FOSSIL FUELS By Aaron, Mohammad & Ahmad

  2. What is a “Fossil Fuel”? • A fossil fuel is a fuel consisting of the remains of organisms preserved in rocks in the earth's crust with high carbon and hydrogen content. • The three main types of fossil fuels are petroleum, coal and natural gases.

  3. Petroleum: • Petroleum, is one of the main fossil fuels. Things such as jet fuel, diesel and gasoline are made out of Petroleum.

  4. Natural Gases • Natural gases are everywhere. They are used to make many things like steel, glass paper and brick.

  5. Coal Coal is another major cause of Fossil fuels. It is often burned to produce energy for homes and buildings.

  6. Where do you find fossil fuels? • Fossil fuels are found everywhere. Because they aren’t a solid thing, they have no specific place to be found. But one place scientists have found fossil fuels are, is under the islands and continents of the world.

  7. Are Fossil Fuels Bad? • Fossil fuels cause global warming and air pollution. This would be easy to handle, but the population is growing. As long as population grows, so does the amount of fossil fuels burned.

  8. What can be done to stop this? • As a civilian, you do not burn many fossil fuels. Things such as factories and industries burn fossil fuels. Also, natural gases are natural and can not be prevented. But all the things that prevent global warming (Using the car less, burning less etc) also help prevent fossil fuels being burned.
