  13. MCMS Media Printer You must get Permission to use the printer.

  14. Review of Rules and Procedures • Students can check-out one fiction book and one non-fiction book. Students cannot have more than two books checked out at a time. Unless you are a designated Super Reader. • Books are due every two weeks, every day late there is .05 per day fine. • You are not allowed to check out if your fines total more than .99 after returning overdue/damaged books. • You must have a pass to come inside the media center unless you are accompanied by a teacher. • You must follow all classroom rules while in the media center. If you break the rules, you will lose your media center visitation rights. • Do not bring cell phones, mp3 players, cameras, USB drives from home into library.

  15. AR, Printer, and Computer Rules and Procedures • You are not allowed to take AR quizzes on computers that do not have an orange sticker located on it. • NO CHEATING! If you talk, take a book to the computer area, and give your password to another student to take an AR test or take a test for another student, you will lose your AR privileges. • You cannot use the computers to access the Internet unless you are supervised by a classroom teacher. If you are caught on the internet without supervision, you may lose your entire computer privilege for the remaining school year. • Only print with permission.

  16. Housekeeping • Remember to not bring in food, candy, and drink while visiting the media center. • No backpacks or slings are allowed in the media center. • Remember to never put books back on cart or shelves. Always return books to the book return. • If you borrow something, please return it. • Do not enter the areas that say No Students or come behind the circulation desk. • Do not leave paper, books, pencils on tables. • Always push your chairs back under the table or computer carrel. Remember to leave the media center like you found it. • The Quiet Zone is located outside of the library so no loud talking or playing.

  17. AR INCENTIVES • Students that meet the standard of reading about 1,000,000 words or earning 150 points or more will earn various prizes throughout the school year culminating with a gift certificate to be used at our annual book fair. • All the students who read over 1,000,000 words will be treated to a piñata extravaganza at the year of the end with the chance to collect sweet treats and small prizes.
