Every organization is planning to accept a project manager who is ready to upgrade themselves from time to time. They must be ready to learn new things whenever asked to. Project management body of Knowledge (PMBOK) is the book for project managers which contain all the contents of PMP course. Currently 7th edition is running in the market. It also states and explains the role of project managers in an organization. In order to achieve the project's objectives, the project manager plays a key role in the leadership of a project team. Throughout the project, this role is plainly obvious. From the beginning through the end of a project, many project managers are involved. However, a project manager may be involved in evaluation and analysis efforts prior to the start of a project in some businesses. Consultation with executive and business unit executives on ideas for advancing strategic objectives, increasing organizational performance, or addressing customer needs are examples of these actions. The project management processes are adjusted to the project in the same way. WHO ARE PROJECT MANAGERS? A project manager's job is different from that of a functional or operations manager. The functional manager's primary responsibility is to provide management oversight for a certain functional or business unit. Operations managers are in charge of making sure that business operations run smoothly. The project manager is the individual who is assigned by the performing organization to lead the team in attaining the project's goals. PROJECT MANAGER’S SPHERES ON INFLUENCE Project managers fulfil numerous roles within their sphere of influence. These roles reflect the project manager's capabilities and are representative of the value and contributions of the project management profession. 1.The project The project manager is in charge of leading the project team to achieve the project's goals and meet the expectations of the stakeholders. The project manager strives to strike a balance between competing project restrictions and available resources.

  2. In addition, the project manager serves as a liaison between the project sponsor, team members, and other stakeholders. This includes giving direction and communicating the project's vision of success. To establish consensus, the project manager employs soft skills (e.g., interpersonal skills and the ability to manage people) to balance the conflicting and competing aims of project stakeholders. 2.The organization The project manager communicates with other project managers on a regular basis. Other independent projects or initiatives within the same programme may have an impact on a project for a variety of reasons, including but not limited to: a.There are multiple demands on the same resources. b.Funding priorities, c.Receiving or distributing deliverables, as well as d.Project aims and objectives are in sync with the organization If you want a good career as a project manager, you need to pay attention to every chapter mentioned in the project management courses online.
