KEY CHALLENGES IN IMPLEMENTATION • GOVERNMENT PARTNERS • Ensure continuous flow of information to the decision-making level • Remind them that they are the owners, we are the facilitators • No boss-staff relationship, but team work • Always provide opportunities for knowledge and competency improvement (abroad if possible!...)

  9. KEY CHALLENGES IN IMPLEMENTATION REPORTING, REPORTING, REPORTING Hire a “Reporting Officer”  Shorter reports are harder to prepare than the longer reports... Mark the reporting deadlines - 20 days on your outlook calendars...

  10. KEY CHALLENGES IN IMPLEMENTATION BUDGET Money is never enough... No cash in the accounts when it is needed the most... Don’t trust excel, do double check the sum... Do your best to follow your monthly cashflow...

  11. KEY CHALLENGES IN IMPLEMENTATION INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS Why do emails related to my Joint Programme comes to the RC but not to me???? Always be ready for the unexpected!...

  12. KEY CHALLENGES IN IMPLEMENTATION EXTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS Who is going to sign the official letters? Prepare the letters, let the Beneficiary sign it!... (improves ownership)

  13. KEY CHALLENGES IN IMPLEMENTATION COMMUNICATIONS AND OUTREACH MATERIALS Any guidelines??? Any standards?? Color codes? Where to put the logo? Right, left, up, down? Which fonts? What size? Which language? BE BRAVE AND CREATIVE (but stay in the boundaries) !...
