  4. Update Security Parameters to Track All Patients UPDATE SECURITY PARAMETERS TRACK ALL PATIENT ACCESS?: YES (Track user access to ALL patients all the time?) DAYS TO MAINTAIN SENSITIVITY LOG: 365 (Choose between 30 and 365 days) RESTRICT ACCESS TO USER’S OWN RECORD: YES (Allow users to access their own records?) SENSITIVE RECORD ACCESSED GROUP: FTH SENSITIVIT LOG (Mail group to notify when sensitive record accessed) SENSITIVITY REMOVED GROUP: FTH SENSITIVITY LOG (Mail group to modify when patient removed from sensitive list)

Generate Sensitive Patient Tracking Reports by Patient, User, or Both (DUA) Select PATIENT NAME: DEMO,ADULT DEMO.PATIENT ADULT <CWAD> M 12-25-1965 FTH 99999 1 **** Date Range Selection **** Beginning DATE : 0101 (JAN 01, 2011) Ending DATE : 0331 (MAR 31, 2011) Do you want to see when a select user accessed this record? Display All Patients Accessed by a User (PAU) • Use this option to view all patients a particular user accessed within a date range. • The list may be sorted by date, alphabetically by patient name or by the option accessed. • The Report lists patient's sensitivity level, if known, at time of access.

  7. Enter/Edit Patient Security Level (EPL) Patients chart will have an pop up warning when opening their record in EHR. Select PATIENT NAME: DEMO,INFANT DEMO.PATIENT INFANT <W> F 10-01-2010 FTH 99991 ...OK? Yes// (Yes) SECURITY LEVEL: NON-SENSITIVE// ?? This field contains a 1 if the patient record is presently listed as sensitive or a 0 if the patient’s record is not currently sensitive. Choose from: 0 NON-SENSITIVE 1 SENSITIVE SECURITY LEVEL: NON-SENSITIVE//

  9. Purge Records There are two purge options in this application. The “Purge Non-sensitive Patients from Security Log” (PPAT) option allows you to remove non-sensitive patients from your DG SECURITY LOG file. BE VERY CAREFUL as this will delete all record of users accessing this patient even while the patient was designated as sensitive! You are not given the choice to just remove specific patients. The “Purge Record of User Access from Security Log” deletes old user access entries from the log for a select patient or all patients during a specified date range. However, any access made to a sensitive patient record must be kept in the log a specific number of days based on your site parameter. These options assist you in keeping your file clean and easy to maintain.
