(Tues, 3:15-5:00 PM & Wed, 12:30-1:30 PM) Goal: TC Members will share information on how their company has used Configuration and Customization to successfully set-up their Windchill application. All attendees will present two pieces of functionality their company has developed that has been a success. Presenter Name: Patrick Chin • New Refined Solution • Windchill Name with history with Windchill Name pointing to IBA via OOTB Custom Data Utility • Windchill Name not a required field for EPMs prior to check in. • If name is null, Windchill name is set to number • If object is renamed, all past revisions history is kept • All history tables and search tables have the correct value of Name per iteration • Name title on the information page of the object at every iteration the correct historical value • If object is only renumbered, Windchill name history remains. Should only be performed prior to the first release. Objects are not allowed to be renumbered if there is additional revisions. • Direct mapping between Windchill Name and ProE Workspace PTC_COMMON_NAME with history. WTPart and EPMDocument Name can be in sync with history. WTPart Structure can look identical to Pro/E BOM drawings. Summary • OOTB • Windchill Name has no history • Windchill Name model on WTObject Master • Windchill Name a required field • If object is renamed, all past revisions of the object are reset with the new name • Workaround is to use the Save As history • Name title on the information page of the object at every iteration will only show one value which is WTObject Master Name • If object is only renumbered, Windchill name remains the same

Presenter Name: Patrick Chin Requirements and Solution • To be able to generate an exportable package based on the product structure, associated EPM documents including drawings and referenced WTDocuments. • Based on configurations of WTPart and EPMDocument of “As Stored “ and “Latest Iteration” • All associated MCAD and Arbortext including drawings into respective folder (ProE, CATIA, UG, Arbortex) • Have a folder for each part containing it’s referenced WTDocuments. • For actively associated ECAD EPM Documents, a ECAD sub folder in the WTPart folder will contain the zip files of the ECAD project, PCA, components, etc from the contents of the ECAD EPMDocuments • Both actions and custom action list per details information page of the WTPart and EPMDocument • If it is a EPMDocument type drawing, the download configuration will be required • Based on ACL of User’s request to all objects in the collector • Does not require workspace or native CAD application to gather or download the required content. • The extract is based on the user’s access controls for all objects and content. • WTDocuments primary content are reidentified with number_rev_objectID.<native file extension>/zip • For WTDocument with secondary content, the primary and secondary are zipped as a package. • WTDocuments and EPMDocument Effectivity
