  3. Walker Mission • The Walker School Community will educate students to their highest potential and teach the common values of respect and effort. We will prepare our students to be lifelong learners and valued members of our society. We will respect the community’s diversity and strive to maintain a safe and orderly environment.

  4. We are family! • Walker School serves 590 students in 5th and 6th grades. • 83 staff members • 27 classroom teachers, 1 math specialist, 2.5 reading specialists, 10 special education teachers, 1 Spanish teacher, 1 AVID coordinator 2.5 gifted specialists, 2 school counselors, 1.5 ESL specialists, 2 PE teachers, 5 fine art teachers, 1 librarian, 1 ITRT, 1 Tech Support, 3 instructional assistants, 3 assistant principals • Class sizes average 20 students
