The Process • Initial talks withMunicipalitySchoolDirector, DeputyMunicipalExecutive and theheadmastersoftheinvolvedschools - to launchideas - to receiveimput The idea is to createownership, getlocalknowledge and to show transparency in thedevelopmentprocessofthe plan All forms arediscussedamong, respectively, heads, teachers and parentsbeforecompleted

  5. A System approach • The forms are concentrated on why, how and about what the different bodies within the schools (incl. parents) can cooperate

  6. A self awereness approach • The forms have a focus on questions about what the respondents do in order to improve cooperation, establish a better learning environnment, increase competancy, improve pedagogical practice.

  7. Evaluatingupwards, downwards and sidewards • Respondants are challenged to report on positive experiences with other bodies in the school, and also suggest areas where improvement are desirable

  8. Questionspresented in teachers form How would you descreibe the heads strongest capacity? In which area would you advice the head to give more priority? How do you evaluate yourself as a leader of the class (different aspects mentioned)? What do you do to strengthen the relationship between school and parents?

Heads form • How can you, as a school leader, contribute to a good working climate in the staff group? • To what degree are your suggestions taken into concideration by the municipality school director? • Which of you duties do you concider of minor importance for a school leader to carry out?
