Incentives for Prototype Developers The Mie Prefectural Government supports SMEs (small and medium size companies) in their joint R&D effort with international organizations Goal The Mie Prefectural Government plans to assist SMEs (small- and medium-sized companies) within Mie in joint R&D efforts, specifically in the joint development of prototypes with international organizations. Eligible Organizations An organization dealing in manufacturing that is currently working with at least one small-medium enterprise within Mie Prefecture. The organization can either be a company group or a university/ experimental research institute -- and this company, university, or research institute must currently own an office within Mie. We ask that a leading representative from the organization be the one to put their name down on the application. Covers Subsidies can be used for the purchase of machinery, tools, and other apparatus, leases, raw materials, and more. Also includes technology purchased from an outside organization and fees associated with installing/implementing this technology. Subsidy Amount ・Up to 50% of the total project cost ・Up to \5 million, with \1 million being the minimum How We'll Make Our Decision We will first evaluate the applications we receive. Those organizations that pass this first step will be asked to submit a presentation, and we will make our final decisions based on these presentations.We are looking for organizations that have a clear plan of how they want to use the subsidies, have a concrete plan for implementation, have a clear sense of the expected effects, and have a system in place to make it happen. Application Deadline Applications should be in our office no later than Friday, May 27th at 5:00pmThey must be sent through the post office or brought in person. Emails will not be accepted.
