The student is expected to: (C) Use properties to classify three-dimensional figures including pyramids, cones, prisms, and cylinders.

  2. Edge Face Vertex Base Pyramids • A pyramidis a three-dimensional figure with only one base. • The base can be any polygon. The other faces are triangles. • A pyramid is named according to the shape of its base. The base in the pyramid below is a square, so the figure is a square pyramid.
