ORF´s: Background All countries of South East Europe aim to access the EU South East European countries are facing similar challenges in terms of need for reforms Dynamics of these reform processes call for flexible instruments Regional integration of Western Balkan countries is a requirement articulated by EU

  4. ORF Strategy: GTZ goes regional Bilateral Technical Cooperation will end in all countries in the future (e.g. depending on EU accession process)  German Technical Cooperation in South East Europe goes regional German bilateral Technical Cooperation through GTZ is dealing with similar topics in all countries and has experiences of approx. 20 years  GTZ holds contacts in all countries in similar sectors and can therefore ideally facilitate regional networking Open Regional Funds supplement and (in some countries) will be replacing German bilateral cooperation
