AIDS in Australia: 0.0004% Contributors to AIDS rate: High: 1994 (953 cases) Low: 2009 (90 cases) • New South Wales is the largest Australian State with an AIDS rate of 0.08%, the highest in the country. It also has a GDP per capita of $45,584. • Northern Territory is the smallest Australian State and has an AIDS rate of 0.02%. It has a GDP per capita of $72,496. • There are significantly more cases of men with AIDS in Australia than women. • The most prone age by far is between 30 and 39. • As a developed country, Australia has increased the length of survival from 19 to 69 months.

Women ages 25-29 have the highest prevalence of AIDS.
