  2. ITO and CTO Treatment Plans • The Authorised Psychiatrist must: • prepare • review and • Revise a treatment plan for each patient • Copy of treatment plan • Discussion of treatment plan • Timing

  3. Treatment Plan: • Must contain an outline of treatmentand • May contain anything else the authorised psychiatrist thinks appropriate.

  4. CTO Treatment Plan must also state: • Who monitors and supervises; • Name of case manager; • Location of treatment;

  5. Times required to attend to receive treatment; and • Intervals supervising doctor reports to monitoring psychiatrist in writing.

  6. Appeal/review by MHRB of Treatment Plan

  7. Expiration of CTO If not extended CTO expires and no longer an involuntary patient.

  8. Mental Health Review Board new power to order the making of a CTO

  9. Revocation of CTOs Not just non-compliance Revocation for treatment

  10. Other Changes • Case managers to be notified of MHRB appeal or review • Clinical staff can share electronic records (October 2003)
