Overview of today’s activities • Update debrief from June 3rd • Class wiki discussion update http://teachertech2010.wikispaces.com/message/list/Instructor+and+Student+Materials • MISL media/teacher resources • WebQuest A/B Sharing • Teacher Toolkit wiki page/add personal favorites • Class considerations • Finish assignments from Teacher and Student Materials wiki page • Make commitment to factoring in technology for your next unit or lesson

  4. Debrief • Time to explore and process new materials • WebQuest into personal wiki pages? • Commitment to use Internet teacher resources into wiki as well? Or other great resources to use? • Problem? -- list of website resources, but next week we are going to work on having more teacher resources (need to clarify for tonight) • Comfort level thinking about WebQuests and potential classroom uses

Wiki discussion update • Favorite wiki idea • Updates, discussions, calendar for students and families – great communication connect! • Articles, rubrics that parents and students can read together • Supporting materials in different languages • Wiki partners around the world responding to shared issues

Wiki discussion update 2 • Favorite WebQuests • Un Viaje Emocionante – webquests in other languages (Leaht73) • Oil Spill in the Gulf – ability to investigate current issues/link to personal lives - excellent overview (kjgiff) • Hard Times Then & Now – excellent “I would give students some general guidelines and ask them to be creative in "solving the problem.” (yoderjo) • The Shot Heard Round the World – “During my unit we used the computer some but this would give them a chance to dig deeper and all my students love to use the computer. I find that technology is also a great way to differentiate. Kids can work independently or with a small team.” (kleverl)
