  1. NEW ORLEANS & MEMPHIS The 2012 XHS Performing Arts Spring Break Trip

BACKGROUND & TOUR COMPANY: • Xavier music ensembles travel every–other year (even years). • 2012: New Orleans & Memphis • 2010: The Bahamas • 2008: San Francisco • 2006: Disney World • 2004: New York City • The trip is NOT required, but is encouraged. • This year, students will have the opportunity to perform AND do service. • We use a very reputable student travel agency: Bob Rogers Travel.

  3. DATES: • The trip will occur during Spring Break 2012. • The exact dates are: • Departure: Monday, April 9 • Arrive Home: Sunday, April 16

  4. TRIP HIGHLIGHTS: • “HA” Breath of Life show • Hard Rock Café • Polynesian Cultural Center • Self–guided tour of Pearl Harbor’s USS Arizona Memorial • Self–guided tour of Pearl Harbor’s USS Missouri • Hike – Diamond Head Crater • Alii Kai Dinner Cruise with entertainment • Visit to the beach • Visit to the International Marketplace • Authentic Hawaiian luau at Germaine’s Luau • Excursion to the Chief’s Secret Island

  5. PERFORMANCES & SERVICE: • Each group will be performing in New Orleans and at Graceland! • There will be half a day in New Orleans where we will have the opportunity to complete a service project together. Details about this project will be shared as they are confirmed.

  6. WHAT THE PACKAGE INCLUDES: • Three (3) Lamer’s 56–passenger, climate–controlled and DVD–equipped motor coaches • Gratuitiesand accommodations for your motor coach driver • Three (3) nights accommodations at the Holiday Inn SuperDomein New Orleans • One (1) night accommodation at a deluxe hotel in the Memphis area • Four (4)breakfast buffets at your hotels • Lunch at Graceland • Dinnerat Mulate’s Live Cajun Music Restaurant • Dinnerat Bubba Gump Shrimp Company • Dinneraboard Natchez Steamboat Dinner & Jazz Cruise • Dinner at the Hard Rock Café on Beale Street in Memphis • Dinner at Lambert’s ($15.00 per person cashback provided) • GuidedHurricane Katrina/Cemetery Tour • Admission to Preservation Hall (Based On Availability)

WHAT THE PACKAGE INCLUDES: • Admissionto Audubon Aquarium of the Americas • Swamp Boat Tour • Tour and admission to Blaine Kern’s Mardi Gras World • Admission to National D–Day Museum with 4–D Theatre presentation • Admission to Platinum Tour of Graceland • Admission to the National Civil Rights Museum • Excursion to St. Louis Cathedral, Jackson Square, French Quarter andRiverwalk Mall • Visit To Beale Street & Lorraine Motel in Memphis • Assistance with performances • Individual Payment Service for each participant • Group Travel Video souvenir package • All taxes, service charges, and gratuities for restaurant and hotel facilities • Company Tour Director: On–site trip coordinator who manages all trip details at your destinations

COSTS: • PACKAGE COSTS BASED ON 140–149 TOTAL PARTICIPANTS: • $849.00/person (based on quad occupancy) • $899.00/person (based on triple occupancy) • $949.00/person (based on double occupancy) • $1,155.00/person (based on single occupancy) • PACKAGE COSTS BASED ON 120–129 TOTAL PARTICIPANTS: • $899.00/person (based on quad occupancy) • $949.00/person (based on triple occupancy) • $999.00/person (based on double occupancy) • $1,209.00/person (based on single occupancy)

  9. FRUIT SALE FUNDS: • Fruit sale funds can be applied to the cost of this trip, so SELL FRUIT! • This year’s fruit sale ends Friday, November 11. • More information about the transfer process will be forthcoming.

  10. INDIVIDUAL PAYMENT SYSTEM: • We have elected to utilize Bob Rogers Travel Individual Payment System (IPS) to collect trip payments. • Please see the IPS REGISTRATION FORM for exact details about how to register for this trip. • Our trip ID number is: WI000200022

PAYMENT TIMELINE: • Registration Deadline: (must be done online) • OCTOBER 25, 2011 • Deposit/1st payment due: • NOVEMBER 1, 2011 ($200.00 per traveler) • 2ndpayment due; • DECEMBER 1, 2011 ($200.00 per traveler) • 3rd payment due: • JANUARY 19, 2012 ($250.00 per traveler) • Final payment due: • FEBRUARY 22, 2012 (remaining balance/$250.00 but subject to change)
