  1. Community Involvement WG

  2. Update… • Creation of the ‘School Leadership & Management Task Force’ (SL&M TF) which includes a ‘PTC/Community Involvement Working Group’. Focal point & active group for CI issues. • First meeting of this WG will be on Tuesday 25th February to discuss the PTC Manual & changes from the new law, as well as national PTC training. • RENCP CIWG field visit to Wellspring’s SDP

  3. Issues/Recommendations… (RENCP) • Communication and sharing across working groups whose issues overlap. • Sharing training materials/resources. CIWG are developing a Working Agreement (paragraph) concerning the sharing & use of partners’ resources. What have other groups done?

  4. Issues… (sector) • Adult Literacy policy still not validated. • New law and changes relating to the JAF have significant implications for partners; especially working in multiple Districts. These changes are very demanding. • The challenges with DDPs and Imihigos reflecting physical targets and not capacity building or other initiatives. This puts pressure on partners ‘to build classrooms’. • Ease of access to and accuracy of national education data for reporting and M&E.
