A QUICK REMINDER: • Make sure all water breaks, bathroom breaks, pencil sharpening, backpack cleaning, etc… are done BEFORE the bell rings. • Do not get out of your seat without permission. • If you are eating, put it away or throw it away. • Do NOT shoot trash into the trash can. • Be ready to work and stay on task.

She notices that the women were wearing repaired clothes and old shoes. She mentions women who have exile eyes. (Latvian survivors, Rwandan girls, Chilean woman doctor). The owner waits patiently to cut each woman’s hair. She was afraid to look in the women’s eyes (exile eyes). She mentions that cutting her hair was a way to make her more American. . .
