  15. Service Academics Nomination If you interested in being nominated to four of the five service academics (U.S. Air Force Academy, U.S. Military Academy, and U.S. Merchant Marine Academy), please see your Guidance Counselor before Thursday, October 28th.

  18. Girl’s Tennis Team • Congratulations to the Girl’s Tennis Team who picked up a huge region win last night against Easley 5-2. The Lady Eagles play home again next Thursday, September 26that 5:00 pm at GatewoodRaquet Club. Come support you r Lady Eagles.

  21. PSAT PSAT Test Date is Wednesday, October 16th Interested students in the 10th and 11th grade must sign up and pay test fee to Mrs. Irby by Friday, September 20th. Cost is $14.00 (non-refundable) *Juniors MUST take the test to enter the National Merit Scholarship competition for college scholarships for 2015.

  25. PARKING PASS All cars MUST have a parking pass on their vehicles. Any student without a current pass will be written up. Students are NOT allowed to ride together without prior approval.

  26. DANCE TEAM Greenwood High School Dance Team tryouts for the 2013 – 2014 Basketball Season will be held on Wednesday, October 2nd. All dancers that are interested in trying out can get information packets from Mrs. Kelley in the front office.

  27. Free & Reduced Lunch If you have not turned in a current application for the 2013 - 2014 school year, you will be put on full pay meals starting Monday Sept. 23rd. Please be prepared to pay for your meals when you come through the line.

  28. STOP THE SAG Students are reminded that all pants are to be worn at the hips. Zip ties will be provided to all students wearing pants below the hips and you will get a disciplinary referral.

  29. Cell Phone Policy Cell phones must be put away at 8:30. Students may use their cell phones during their designated lunch period in these areas only: -Cafeteria -Fishbowl -Blacktop Cell phones may be used after 3:30.

  30. Girl’s Soccer Any girl interested in playing soccer this year needs to come to a meeting on Thursday, September 26 at 3:45 in Mr. Drinkard's room H120. Girls are reminded to get their physicals and eligibility paperwork to Debbie Miller before they can begin conditioning and practice

  31. ATTENTION SENIORS • Attention Seniors! Please bring canned goods for our Homecoming service project to the library or to • Mr. Kinard’s room.

  32. CREDIT RECOVERY Credit Recovery begins this Monday September 16 and will be offered every Monday and Wednesday from 4:00-6:00 at Genesis.
