  3. CISMP is… • A Multi-tactic early intervention program • A Structured peer-driven, clinician-supported and guided process • Designed to provide interventions to address disaster-related mental health issues.

  4. Individual Employee • Self Awareness • Supportive of others • Awareness Level Training • Supportive of the CISMP

  5. BASIC Peer Support • Friend / Small Group Peer Support (less formal) • One-on-One Peer Support (Defusing) • Trained Peer for immediate response and intervention

  6. ADVANCED Peer Support • Facilitated Debriefing with Clinician Support & Guidance • Comfortable Setting • Formalized Process • Critical Incident Stress Debriefing (CISD)

  7. DEBRIEFING • Small Group • Controlled Environment • Seven Phase Process • Peer Driven (facilitated) • Follow-up procedures in place • Clinical Intervention of Referrals (available as needed)
