  1. DJs Jamie Theakston and Andy Goldstein unveil their new bodies after more than HALVING their body fat (and it took them just six months) Radio stars Jamie Theakston and Andy Goldstein have unveiled incredible body transformations following a gruelling six-month training regime. The two DJs say hours spent in the radio booth over the years has been detrimental to their diet and lifestyle - leading them to turn all too often to to early-morning fry-ups and late-night snacks. However the pair have each more than halved their body fat and, after relentlessly hitting the gym for three hours a week, they are in better shape than ever before. Jamie Theakston (left) and Andy Goldstein (right) have unveiled their incredible transformation following a gruelling six-month training regime and halving their body fat The duo were challenged to reduce their body fat by Men's Fitness magazine and Embody Fitness gym. The process has been something of an eye-opener for Heart FM's Jamie, 45, who told how early starts meant he'd often have a slap-up breakfast at 6.30 followed by another two hours later. The former Live & Kicking presenter was once incredibly active, fencing, and playing cricket.

  2. But after years of easily coasting along at a healthy weight, he admits to reaching the end of 2015 and struggling to buy clothes that fit his bulging 38in waist. The father-of-two told the magazine that learning about nutrition had been a game-changer for him. Jamie used to gorge on junk food due to early starts and said his waist reached 38 in at the end of 2015 (left) while Andy confesses he would often indulge in late-night junk food binges

  3. Jamie says he is now in his best shape for more than ten years; explaining: 'You see it in the little things, like running upstairs: a year ago, I was carrying an extra three stone up'

  4. Jamie with his trainer. It took him six months and many gruelling hours in the gym to get back into shape

  5. Speaking of his transformation, Jamie said: 'I feel brighter, my complexion's better, all of those things'

  6. 'I didn't know the difference between protein and carbohydrate,' he said. 'I've never taken much notice. 'I'd be in the studio at 5am, then I'd have a breakfast at 6.30 and maybe another one at 8.30, and it was sausage or bacon sandwiches, tonnes of coffee… looking back it's kind of shocking.' But Jamie says he is now in his best shape for more than ten years; explaining: 'You see it in the little things, like running upstairs: a year ago, I was carrying an extra three stone up. I feel brighter, my complexion's better, all of those things.' Andy said his 'turning point' came last Christmas when he found himself wolfing down six chicken nuggets, two hamburgers and a large portion of fries on his way home - and 'didn't think anything of it'

  7. Andy's trainer set him on a course of gruelling exercises including weight-lifting and pull-ups. The pair trained together for an hour, three times a week Meanwhile TalkSPORT's Andy, 43 admits there was once a time when it wasn't unheard of for him to have four packets of crisps in a shift. 'I was slowly getting obese,' he recalled. Both men admit they were far from clued-up when it came to weight training and nutrition.

  8. Andy said his 'turning point' came last Christmas when he found himself wolfing down six chicken nuggets, two hamburgers and a large portion of fries on his way home - and 'didn't think anything of it'. Despite having a handful of marathons under his belt, the DJ says he had always avoided the weights room in the past - instead spending hours on the treadmill.

  9. Andy said: 'Other people can help keep you on the road, but you've got to want it. Everyone's got it in them. Don't think of it as an end – think of it as a new way of life' So his trainer set him on a course of gruelling exercises including weight-lifting and pull-ups. The pair trained together for an hour, three times a week. 'The first three days were tough because I couldn't eat any of the cr** I normally have, but after that it was a breeze,' he said. 'For breakfast I'd have chicken or steak or salmon. People pull a face when I say that, but then I wouldn't get hungry for hours. 'It's not like it would take me an hour to make – there's no excuse for not eating healthy.' Andy also replaced junk food 'binges' with black coffee and eats his beloved curries with a healthy sauce. He added: 'Other people can help keep you on the road, but you've got to want it. Everyone's got it in them. Don't think of it as an end – think of it as a new way of life.'
