  2. Materials • we need a tower, the nacelle, and the rotor blades. • The tower is either a small lattice tower similar to electrical towers or a steel tubular tower with an inside ladder to the nacelle.

  3. Benefits of wind energy • Its clean, Electricity generated by wind turbines won’t dirty the air we breathe or emit pollutants like other energy sources—that means less smog, less acid rain and fewer greenhouse gas emissions.

  4. The cons of wind energy • Your wind turbines can be damaged from thunderstorms. • They can hit birds that try to fly through them. • They can make loud annoying noises.
