  2. CRT-designed to show whether students have mastered a body of knowledge • NRT-compare a student’s score against the scores of a group of people who have already taken the exam, called the “norming group” Criterion Reference Test and Norm-Referenced Test

  3. Safe Harbor- a group qualifies under safe harbor if the percent of students who are not proficient is reduced 10% compared to the previous year. • Attendance- used as the additional indicator for elementary and middle schools. Schools are required to attain a 93% attendance rate or any improvement from the previous year to meet this criterion. Definitions

U-PASS measures students longitudinal growth (i.e., tracking the progress of the same student across grades) as a key component of the system so that schools can meet acceptable levels of performance either because of their overall achievement in the given year(proficiency) or because their students’ performance improved at least at the required amount(progress). U-PASS

  7. USOE Login Username: USOE Password: Data4u • Click the information Tab in the Data Display • Open the Confidentiality Agreement • Fax or email the agreement to USOE • 801‐538‐7845 or Kirin.mcinnis@schools.utah.gov • Password will be uploaded into the move-it site How to get a Password

  8. School and District need to have your Charter name Displayed • Click Submit How to get to your school

  9. Click on Proficiency or Progress • Student Names will appear when you click on graphs Finding your Student Data
