  3. The Competition • AiGameDev.com • Online magazine specialized on AI for games • Sponsored by Guerrila Games (Killzone games) • Capture the Flag game mechanics • Runs through November, December and January • Prizes + hiring (Guerrilla Games)

Game mechanics • Multiple bots per team • Each bot has a restricted visibility area • If a bot carrying a flag is killed, the flag will return to base (after some delay) • Dead bots are respawned at regular intervals • Firing induces some delay before walking / running again • http://aisandbox.com/game/

  6. Requirements • Download and install AI Sandbox + SDK • Windows Vista, 7, 8 • Linux (64 bit + 32 bit) • No Mac support  • Programming languages • C++ • Python • Java (not yet) • Client  Server architecture

  7. Planning • 2 phases (dates may change): • 7th November  10th December 2012 • Results on 15th December  prizes (half) • 15th December  7th January 2013 • Results on 15thJanuary  prizes (half)
