Item No. C- 3 KeySpan LNG, L.P.Current Federal Safety Standards Not Met • LNG storage tank impoundment designed to 100 percent of the tank contents rather than 110 percent; • thermal radiation & flammable vapor exclusion zones extend offsite onto adjacent properties; • evaluation by a seismic consultant required to determine existing tank compliance with the 2001 edition of the NFPA, which increased the stringency and complexity of the seismic requirements.
