    4. The Houston Chronicle reported a few weeks ago that recent U.S. Census estimates show that Texas added more residents than any other state in the year ending July 1. Our state now has 478,000 more people than it did a year ago roughly the equivalent of packing up all of Fresno, Calif., and moving it here. Fresno unemployment rate: nearly 16 percent. Potential Water Use Modeling Overview Water modeling is a snapshot of an ongoing process Water modeling data 15 months ago was different just as we expect data to be further refined 15 months from now. Simulates full use of every Brazos Basin water right over 50-60 years: 100% use has never occurred. Uses hottest months: Uses the hottest three months of the year and applies them for the entire year taking no benefit for cooler temperatures and lower water consumption. Does not include lake level management: We have not considered any lake level management practices from the Brazos River Authority practices that are being studied in fall, 2010. Does not include ongoing Luminant studies: The impacts do not consider Luminants ongoing efforts to potentially reduce water consumption.
