  2. Jackson County 4-HMake A Difference Day Purpose: 4-H Centennial Quilted Panel Sponsor: Blair Junior and Senior High School 4-H Club in Jackson County

  3. Jackson County 4-HMake A Difference Day Activity: This panel was coordinated by 4-Her Anna Dempsey and 4-H leader Donna Altom. This panel features photos transferred to bafric that represents the head, heart, hands, and health aspects of 4-H. The large 4-H clover with a photo of all the club members was appliquéd onto the muslin in the middle. All the members autographed around the green clover. Then 4-H clovers were quilted on the top and the bottom center. The panel is bound in 4-H fabric.

  4. Jackson County 4-HMake A Difference Day Photo: The Blair Senior 4-H club had 4-Her Anna Dempsey (left) and 4-H club leader Donna Altom (right) coordinate the 4-H Centennial quilted panel. All members had a hand in autographing this quilted panel that features photo transfers to represent their members.

Jackson County 4-HMake A Difference Day Impact: Mall club members were involved and one leader and a member coordinated the project for the 4-H Centennial quilt which was sent to the State 4-H Office to be displayed.   7. Jackson County 4-HMake A Difference Day Activity: At a monthly meeting, 12 members drew with fabric pens on muslin squares what 4-H meant to them. These were sewed together with clover strips to make the vertical wall panel by a 4-H mother and her daughter, Mindy and Hayden Smiley.

Other members who worked on the quilt were Todd Greenlee, Alex Greenlee, Sarah Baker, Tanna Staggs, and anthony Eberhart.

  9. Jackson County 4-HMake A Difference Day Impact: Members remembered what they liked best about 4-H by drawing on a fabric project. This panel was sent to the State 4-H Office to be sent for display at Washington, D.C. The quilt will be returned to be used for displays in 2003.   10. Jackson County 4-HMake A Difference Day Purpose: 4-H Centennial Quilted Panel Sponsor: Navajo 4-H members Shannon Glenn and Jessica Glenn.

  11. Jackson County 4-HMake A Difference Day Activity: These two 4-H members found fabric showing scenes of various projects and events such as Share-the-fun to pet care to livestock. These were appliquéd onto green fabric and pieced to 4-H clover fabric that framed the scenes.

  12. Jackson County 4-HMake A Difference Day Photo: (Left to right) Shannon Glenn and Jessica Glenn of the Navajo 4-H Club were happy to make this wall hanging for the 4-H Centennial Quilt Panel Project and their local club’s use.

  13. Jackson County 4-HMake A Difference Day Impact: These sisters worked together with guidance from their mother Genia Glenn, who is the Jackson County OSU Extension Office secretary.   15. Jackson County 4-HMake A Difference Day Activity: There were five 4-H members who worked to make the panel. The 4-H leader Sandra Smithson and her daughter Anna cut the commercial 4-H tote bag fabric apart and appliquéd onto the muslin material. Green and white checked fabric and the commercial 4-H fabric was pieced onto the horizontal muslin piece. Tabs were added at the top. The name of the club was painted onto the muslin and an appliquéd clover is in the middle. Then all the five boys and girls got together and learned how to quilt the panel. Assistance was also given by parents Tina Mallory and Erna Kuskie.

  17. Jackson County 4-HMake A Difference Day Impact: The 4-Hers will use the banner for future displays. This taught them about sewing and quilting.   18. Woods County 4-HMake A Difference DayOctober 27, 2001 Purpose: Community wide fun-filled activity for families. All proceeds for the Ronald McDonald House. Sponsor: Planned and conducted by Carmen-Dacoma 4-H Club. Chairperson - Cassity Green

  19. Woods County 4-HMake A Difference DayOctober 27, 2001 Activities: Games, face painting, petting zoo, concessions, Halloween costume parade, and performances by a local dance group.

Woods County 4-HMake A Difference DayOctober 27, 2001 Community Partners: Alva Student Council, Woods County 4-H Volunteers Council, Alva Sr. 4-H Club, Carmon-Dacoma 4-H, Agricultural Education Department, Alva Parent-Teacher Organization, Standing Ovations Dance Group, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Carmon Cooperative, Alva Methodist Church, local merchants, and Walmart.
