LEAP Classes Include: • Exercises that develop critical & creative thinking • Activities that provide students with skills and abilities that enable them to attack new problems • Structured experiences designed to expose students to a wide variety of topics in which they have a sincere interest

  5. Goals of Gifted Education • To teach students skills necessary for success in and out of school: • Ability to think critically • Ask meaningful questions • Take notes • Interact socially

  6. Give students an opportunity to be responsible for their own learning • Require students to make decisions about what they will learn and how they will use that knowledge

  7. Introduce and teach good research habits and work habits.
