  3. Other kind of Carnival mask • The main types of Venetian masks are the bauta, moretta, gnaga, medico dellapesta, pantalone, arlechino, colombina.

  5. Where the mask is used • The Venetian Mask are used in a festival called the Carnival of Venice. To celebrate the victory of the “ Repblica Della serenissima” (Ancient name of Venice), in the war against Ulrico, in the year of 1162. So to celebrate this victory, dances and reunion started and taking place at San Marco Square.

  7. What are the mask made out of • Originally the Venetian Carnival Mask are made out of leather, porcelain, and glass and had a symbolic function. But nowadays they are often made of hand-painted gesso or papier-mâché and decorated with feathers and gems.
