  1. Global Educational Vision Forum • We are in a day and age that each generation can and will drastically change the world. • How do we prepare our global society for the constant state of change and innovation in such an influential global network?

  2. THE 21ST CENTURY: Vision to Action Our actions, whether commercial, civic or academic, will have impact both locally and globally. There is a need for key leaders from commercial, civic, media  and academic institutions to come together to exchange expertise in education, cultural understandings, and leadership development to define an international approach to educational innovation that is essential to prepare the next generation for sustained prosperity within a diverse global market.

  3. Vision to Action: Objectives The Global Educational Vision Forum will focus on what world educators might suggest to prepare the United States and international educators for the world of 2025. While it is true that parochialism exists in many other societies, the conference will have the greatest impact if those learned outsiders are respected as advisors. Opening the door on the United States need to learn will be less threatening and may result in participants reflecting on the needs of their own educational systems in the most honest way.

  4. VISION: INTERNATIONAL APPROACH An international approach to educational innovation is essential to advance each generation to reach sustained prosperity within a diverse global market. An international collaborativefor work-force development.

  6. VISION: SELECTING AND RETAINING Selecting, training and retaining the appropriate teachers and educational leaders defines the excellence within each institution. Illustration 2007 Simiosys.com™

VISION: COLLABORATION Institutions are essential for success to further the expertise in mathematics and science, language arts that are needed for basic literacy, media literacy and work-force development. The research, innovation and dissemination of timely and timeless innovations builds and improves the schools, community and economy.

What will teacher educators need to know to prepare students for the world of 2025? Panel 4. What will the status of educational equity and justice for the poor in 2025?  Panel 5. What does it all mean: synthesis and implications for action

NEXT STEPS: Exchange of Expertise During Phase 2, based on the results of The Global Learning & Development Forum, arrangements will be made to exchange expertise in education, cultural understandings, and leadership development. At that time, based on the results of the external evaluation and on 360 degree feedback, international technical expertise exchange will begin!

GOALS: HIPIE Assistance • Assist institutions preparing educators to develop policies and procedures for future educators. • Assist government educational agencies at the international, national and local levels in the development of policies and procedures • Assist in the planning and research and evaluation of programs aimed at improving the preparation and performance of teachers and administrators. • Assist international, national and local school agencies develop the policies and practices for creating the conditions of work in schools that support effective teaching and administration.

The Haberman International Policy Institute in Education (hipie) is the division of Haberman Educational Foundation devoted to extending the mission of  improving the educational opportunities for children and youth in poverty to schools and preparatory institutions internationally.
