  3. Infrastructure • Dropped our “view” access control • Rebuilt portal • Lot of liaison with providers • But still cant get open access to some of the big private research datasets • Still to release new portal (performance issues)

Highlights - broader scale use • Have positioned national portal as UK INSPIRE provider for species distribution (publishing at 10km level) • Mobilised all data for Article 17 reporting (Habitats and Species Directive) through portal • Mobilised majority of freshwater non-native data • Aiming to use GBIF feed as a way of providing broader context
