  4. Where have we been? 2010 General Chapter Statement As Sisters of Notre Dame we proclaim God’s goodness and provident care, united in One Heart, One Hope, One Mission ….committed to global transformation

Affinity Group Progress2011-2013 • Provincial Treasurers and CFO’s • Updating TRENDS • Moving toward common insurance, fleet management, cell phone plans, finance policies, accounting systems, etc. • Advancement Directors • Adopted common donor software program • Developed a common planned giving website

  14. Affinity Group Progress2011-2013 • Human Resources Directors • Adopted a common updated payroll system for employees of all provinces • Studying benefit plans • JPIC Directors/Committees • Awakening the Dreamer across all provinces • Shared education / projects around Environmental Issues

  16. 2013-2014 Additional Collaborative Initiatives Gathering of younger members (summers 2013 + 2014) Planning a national gathering of all sisters for the summer of 2015 Exploration of collaborative ministries in two dioceses of Texas (spring 2014)

December, 2013 Executive Committee developed a proposal for SND-USA February, 2014 4 Leadership Teams endorsed proposal, submitted proposal to General Council and shared proposal with the Sisters April, 2014 SND General Council gives approval for the 4 US provinces to become ONE by 2020

  18. Where are we going? Formation of ONE Province by 2020 The transition will : Be holistic rather than structural Be based on what it means to be Apostolic Women Religious Strengthen our capacity to be on Mission

Assumptions: Sharing a common congregational vision Capitalizing on vitality and strength Consolidating and simplifying to insure freedom for mission Maintaining a regional presence in 4 geographic areas Deepening and strengthening relationships with our partners in mission

Where are we going?2014-2015 Planning Committee Update: Interviewed and hired a firm to assist with financial, structural, and legal aspects of becoming one Will assist with and attend SND Forward in June Will meet at the end of June to plan next steps Will meet with CFO’s, HR, Advancement and Communication Directors in early August Will coordinate visit of business consultants to each province

Sisters of Notre Dame Participate by: Praying for this Sacred Endeavor Strengthening your bonds with one another and with our Associates, Collaborators, and Staff Participating in Common endeavors: Becoming Fire, Notre Dame Prayer book, SND Forward, 2015 National Gathering, JPIC initiatives Being open to the call of the Spirit during this journey

  26. Health Care/Medical expenses • Affordable Care Act • MyCare Ohio: Managed medical care for 130 sisters enrolled in Medicare and Medicaid • Every Sister asked to go only to doctors, dentists, get Rx using her insurance coverage

  27. Administrative costs • Includes Advancement, technology, communication, Congregational assessments, SNDUSA • One goal of SNDUSA is to reduce administrative expense and simplify governance

Funding our mission and ministries • Direct contribution to Global Missions • Direct contribution of Julie Funds, Mission and Ministry grants, charitable contributions • Province subsidized ministries • Contributed services of Sisters receiving stipends vs. full salaries • Volunteer ministries
