  3. What’s PAWS? • PAWS stands for Panther Access to Web Services • PAWS replaces all other names, such as: • OASIS • Oracle • PAWSAdmin • PeopleSoft Going with ONE universal name…PAWS

  4. How do I Sign In? • Sign In using your: • ePanther ID and Password • Same ID and Passwordfor: • PantherFile and PantherMail • PantherList and PantherCal • myUWM Note: No longer use your Campus Id & Pin. Use password used for all I&MT applications.

  5. Password Help • To reset forgotten ePanther Password • Go to Bolton Hall Campus Computer Lab (Room 225): • Provide proof of your identity, (Campus Id preferred) • Ask lab consultant to reset your password

  6. Password Help • To activate new ePanther account & password for new employee • Go to www.epantherid.uwm.edu • To change an existing ePanther password • Go to www.epantherid.uwm.edu

  8. Sign In Process • From UWM home page, select PAWS • www.paws.uwm.edu • Type in: • ePanther ID and Password • Click Sign In

  10. Faculty Role • When the page opens, a menu displays on the left side. The right side of page is blank. • To view information specific to faculty, select: • Self Service • Faculty Center

  12. If I have a faculty role, how will I be affected?

  13. View a Class Roster • On Faculty Center page, select icon for appropriate class.

  15. View a Class Roster Scroll to bottom of page for additional buttons. • The roster appears when processed

  16. Email Students • Click button to send email to selected students • Click button to send email to enrolled students • Click link to view class roster with address

  17. View Class List with Addresses Error Message • Type your ePanther Id and ePanther Password • Change Term and/or Year • Click Login

  18. View Class List with Addresses • Click Get List button for specific class

  20. View as Microsoft Excel • Click button • Select Open • Select Yes

  23. FERPA Statement • Click View FERPA Statement in the upper right side of page for details

  24. Early Intervention Button displays only if first year freshmen are enrolled in class

  25. Early Intervention When selected, this page appears • Click Early Intervention button to add details

  26. Early Intervention Use the buttons to find the correct student name • Scroll through list to find student/(s)

  28. Early Intervention • When Unsatisfactory selected, fill in: • Instructor Reasons • Class Comments

  29. Enter Grades • Different look and feel • No changes to enter grades process • Grade Rosters available 1 week prior to exam week • Grades due 48 hours after last day of exams

  30. Enter Grades • On Faculty Center page: • Select term from drop down list • Click button. Page refreshes with updated list of classes • Click icon for appropriate class

  31. Enter Grades Step 1 Step 2 When page refreshes, click Grade Roster icon for appropriate class.

  33. Enter Grades • When grade roster appears: • Approval Status default is “Not Reviewed” • Enter Grades for all students • Save your work • Change status to “Ready to Review” or “Approved” • Save your changes again

  35. Enter Grades • Remember to: • Save your work • Change status to “Ready to Review” or “Approved” • Save your changes again

  36. Enter Grades • Approval status: • “Not Reviewed” – Default • “Ready for Review” - Grades Entered by TA OR partial list of grades • “Approved” – Complete Roster, Approved by Instructor

  37. Enter Grades • Error messages display if you approve without entering grades for all students

  38. Change Grades • After Grade Roster set to “Approved”, all grade changes must be submitted through a “Change of Grade Card” • Paper based form • Pick-up through department Note: Grades are posted nightly. You can change grades SAME day PRIOR to 5:00 p.m.

  40. Time out • Automatic time out process changed • Reduced to ONE hour • Students,Faculty,Staff, andAdvisors ALL are automatically logged off PAWS after one hour of no activity

  41. How do I sign out? Select the Sign out link in the PAWS title bar • Manual sign out process has not changed • Select Sign out in upper right side of page

  42. Announcements • PAWS dailymaintenance (November 13th-17th) will be from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. • PAWS will be unavailable • Try to plan your work around maintenance (shut down) times

  43. myUWM Campus Portal • PAWS can be accessed through myUWM • From UWM Home page, select myUWM

  44. myUWM Sign In • Sign In with your ePanther ID and Password • Click Login button • Single sign on to: • PAWS • D2L • PantherMail • PantherCal • PantherFile

  45. myUWM Campus Portal • Select PAWS Faculty Center

  46. Access PAWS from myUWM myUWM PAWS Info. • See PAWS information inside myUWM • myUWM title bar and menu option still appear • PAWS information displays on right side of screen

  47. myUWM Sign Out • Click Logout to close myUWM
