  17. Question2: What is ISEM3.0 and How Will it Help Fig1: ISEM 3.0 • NGT Concentration (Blockchain, Q) • Techpreneurship Concentration • ISEM3.0 continues its focus on the complex interactions between people, processes and technologies in the digital age by integrating knowledge from Information Systems (IS), Systems Engg (SE) & Mgmt (M). • Well defined Focus Areas within Individualized Concentrations as shown in Fig.1 will attract and guide the students. These Focus Areas are based on analysis of the job market & student needs. • Concentrations are externally visible but require CC approvals. To address changing business needs, we will better manage the tradeoffs between New Programs, Concentrations and Focus Areas in terms of External Visibility versus value to the students as shown in Table 1 and Table2 in later slides . • Individualized Concentration with Focus Areas: • Technology Management in the Digital Age • Smart Cities, Communities and Enterprises • AI and BI for Business • Digital IT Infrastructure (IoTs, 5G) • Analytics, Project Management, and CISC • Others (Build Your Own) • For a Focus Area: take3 courses in any area at • HU & and complete an ISEM Captsone on a related topic Post Master Certificate (focus Smart Cities)

  18. ISEM Courses at a Glance

  19. Concentrations and Capstone • Individualized Concentration:   MS in ISEM students can choose courses totaling 15 semester hours of credit from anyof the graduate programs at HU. This option allows the ISEM students to focus on areas such as the following: • Phd in ISEM: by taking 9 semester hours in PhD prereqs (e.g., ISEM503, ISEM525, and MGMT531) and choosing a research thesis in Capstone. • Blockchains by taking at least 9 semester hours in Blockchains (e.g., ISEM571 and NGDT) and using Blockchain concepts in ISEM Capstone. • Techpreneurshipby taking 9 semester hours in Entrepreneurship & Capstone • AI for Business by taking at least 9 semester hours in AI (e.g., ISEM503, ISEM565 and ISEM572) and using AI concepts in ISEM Capstone. • Technology Management by taking ISEM547 (IT Management), 2 courses in ITPM and using Technology Management concepts in ISEM Capstone. • Digital Health by taking at least 9 semester hours in Healthcare and using Healthcare concepts in ISEM Capstone. • Information Security by taking at least 9 semester hours in Security and using Security in the Capstone. • Analytics, Project Management, and CISC by taking 3 courses from any of these programs and using any of these concepts in ISEM Capstone. • Almost unlimited number of highly creative areas of focus by combining any graduate course work in ISEM with other HU courses to meet the changing needs of modern digital enterprises.
